It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Crawford, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this world on September 5, 2026. Born in Baldwin, NY, on September 15, 1965, Ronald lived a life full of love, creativity, and service, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ronald was the cherished son of Melvin and Shirley Crawford, who raised him to be the kind, wise, and honest man we all came to know and love. He spent his formative years in Glen Cove, where he graduated from Glen Cove High School, setting the foundation for a life steeped in artistry and compassion. For over 30 years, Ronald dedicated himself to his craft as a painter, creating beautiful pieces that adorned the homes of loved ones and strangers alike. His art was a reflection of his soul—full of depth, color, and emotion. Beyond his vocation, Ronald was an avid reader and fisherman, and he found joy in photography and cooking, always seeking new ways to express his creativity. Ronald was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church for more than three decades. His faith was not only a guiding light in his life but also a beacon of hope and encouragement to those around him. He volunteered tirelessly at sickle centers, offering his time and talents to brighten the lives of many young ones. Known for his welcoming smile and unwavering optimism, Ronald possessed a unique ability to provide insight and encouragement to anyone who needed it. His kindness and wisdom were gifts he shared generously, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Ronald has lived by side of his devoted wife of 37 years, Rosalind Crawford, and their beloved daughter, Shaneice Crawford. Though he leaves no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy of love and warmth will be carried forward by those who knew him best. The family expresses profound gratitude to everyone who supported Ronald in his time of need and to those who join them in celebrating his life and memory. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Ronald's journey. We celebrate the remarkable life of Ronald Crawford, a man whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
