In Loving Memory of Ronald “Choco” Banks Ronald Banks, affectionately known as “Choco,” was born on January 5, 1960, in East Elmhurst, New York, to the late Clara Banks and Al Warner. On August 5, 2026, Ronald peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Ronald was deeply loved by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He received his education through the Corona Public School System and various state facilities, where he proudly earned his GED and numerous certificates. Throughout his life, Ronald faced many challenges, yet his strength, resilience, and determination allowed him to overcome obstacles and achieve what once seemed beyond reach. A man of vibrant personality and joy, Ronald was truly the life of every party. His passion for dance, particularly the Hustle, was unparalleled. Whenever a favorite song played, Ronald would light up the dance floor with moves that left a lasting impression. His laughter was contagious, his smile unforgettable, and his presence could brighten even the darkest of rooms. Ronald was unapologetically himself—genuine, outspoken, loving, and unforgettable. Ronald's greatest joy was his family. He stood unwaveringly beside the people he loved, cherishing every moment with them. He leaves behind his loving siblings, Marget Banks, Angela Banks, Bertha Warner, Alma Harrison, Miriam Warner, and Allen Warner. His pride and joy were his two sons, Randy Banks and Jonathan Banks, and his beloved granddaughters, Jazell Banks, Skya Banks, and Nyel Banks. He is also lovingly remembered by his Godmother, Pansey Joyner, along with numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives he touched. Ronald's legacy will continue through the countless lives he impacted. He leaves behind more than cherished memories; he leaves an enduring example of resilience, authenticity, and love. Though no longer visible to us, Ronald will remain forever present in the hearts of those he loved. A service to honor Ronald’s life will be held on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
