In Loving Memory

Ronald Betts
June 18, 1932 — May 1, 2026
It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Betts, who left this world on May 1, 2026, at the age of 93. Ronald departed this life as he lived it, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of his beloved family at his home in Fond du Lac, the place where his remarkable journey began on June 18, 1932.
Born to Mini and John Betts, Ronald embodied the values of kindness, dedication, and love. His life was a testament to the strength of family ties and the beauty of simple joys. He was predeceased by his cherished parents, his devoted first wife Judith, and his beloved son Bob Betts. Despite these profound losses, Ronald's spirit remained resilient, finding solace and joy in the embrace of his surviving family members, especially his loving second wife, Deborah Betts, who walked by his side in life’s later years.
Ronald was a man of many talents and passions. After a fulfilling career at John Deere, from which he retired in 1980, he pursued his true calling in woodworking. This craft was not just a hobby but a way for him to express his creativity and connect with others. His beautifully crafted pieces are treasured by those lucky enough to have them, serving as a testament to his skill and the care he put into each creation.
Beyond his craftsmanship, Ronald was a family man through and through. He derived immense joy from spending time with his 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, each visit a reminder of the legacy of love and laughter he cultivated so carefully. His family was his pride and joy, and he delighted in watching them grow, offering wisdom and guidance with a heart full of love.
Ronald's life will be celebrated on May 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Church, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a life well-lived. Though we mourn the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend, we also celebrate the rich tapestry of memories he leaves behind.
In remembering Ronald Betts, we find solace in the enduring warmth of his love, the laughter he shared, and the lessons he imparted. His gentle spirit and generous heart have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. As we say our farewells, we hold dear the knowledge that his legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ronald’s memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others.
Rest in peace, dear Ronald. Your love and legacy will forever guide us.
