Ronald Bacon

February 3, 1939 — June 27, 2026

Ronald Eugene Bacon, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. Ron was born on February 3, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland. He proudly served his country in the Navy before beginning a lifetime of hard work and service. He was proud to be a veteran. He later retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of dedicated employment. A gifted mechanic, Ron had a remarkable talent for restoring automobiles. Over the years, he personally owned, repaired, and sold hundreds of cars, turning his passion into a lifelong pursuit. Ron loved watching car racing and baseball. Those who knew him admired his strong work ethic, mechanical skill, and willingness to lend a helping hand. One of the defining moments of Ron’s life came when a preacher's car broke down and Ron repaired it. That encounter marked the beginning of his deep Christian faith. From that day forward, he remained faithful to the Church, living out his beliefs with quiet conviction, and raising his children to share the same enduring faith. Ron is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 66 years, Mary; his daughter, Linda, her husband Steve, of Tucson; and his son, Steve, his wife, Jessica, and granddaughter Elizabeth, of South Carolina, his granddaughter Sophia and great grandsons Holden, Kaiden, Malakai, and Luke of Bowling Green, Kentucky will miss him greatly. Ron’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family, the lives he touched through his faith, and the example of integrity and perseverance he set for all who knew him. Ron will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his stearfast faith, his love for his family, and a life well lived in service to God and others.

A Love That Made Room

Some lives are remembered not only by what they accomplished, but by the room they made for others. He opened his heart with quiet kindness. He offered welcome without needing attention, love without needing recognition, and care that made others feel safe, seen, and valued. His life reminds us that family is not only formed by blood or name. Sometimes God builds family through tenderness, faithfulness, shared moments, and the steady grace of a heart willing to make room. The love he gave became part of the lives around him. It shaped memories, strengthened hearts, and left a legacy that will continue long after this day. As we grieve, we also give thanks. We thank God for the life he lived, the love he shared, and the quiet ways he reflected His goodness. His work is now complete. His burdens are laid down. And now he rests in the peace of God, held forever in His care. -Casey Miller
