Ron Pohl, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, in the loving embrace of his family. Born on November 7, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, Ron was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout his life. Ron was the cherished son of the late Carl and Betty Pohl, and he carried their legacy of love and compassion forward. He was predeceased by his parents and his son, Ron Pohl Jr. His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife, Connie, with whom he shared an extraordinary 35 years of marriage. Together, they built a family full of love, laughter, and resilience. Ron was a proud father to his surviving children, Cory Pohl and Ashley Pohl, and a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his world, and he found immense joy in their presence, whether it was through camping trips, fishing excursions, or cheering on his favorite football teams. After completing his education in Chicago, Ron pursued a career in construction before dedicating 40 years of his life as an esteemed engineer. His work ethic and dedication were unparalleled, and he was respected by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his professional achievements, Ron was known for his generous spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ron’s passions extended beyond his career and family. He found peace and solace in nature, often spending quiet mornings by the water, fishing, and reflecting on life’s blessings. His warmth, humor, and infectious smile brought comfort and joy to those around him, qualities that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The Pohl family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Ron’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ron's memory to the American Heart Association, honoring his life and legacy. Ron’s life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, as per the family’s wishes. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of all who loved him.
