Romayne was born on February 18, 1936, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Richard and Inez Ahrens, who instilled in her a spirit of resilience and joy that she carried throughout her life.
Romayne was predeceased by her beloved husband, with whom she shared many cherished years. She is lovingly remembered by her four children: Ray, Mariea, Debra, and Susan, whose lives she filled with boundless love, laughter, and wise guidance. Her legacy continues through her three brothers, Jim, John, and Les, as well as her five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her vibrant spirit.
Known for her humor and her spitfire personality, Romayne had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her infectious laughter could brighten the darkest of days, and her quick wit often left those in her company in stitches. She was a woman of many talents and interests, most notably her love for fishing, a pastime she cherished deeply. Romayne found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, from the quiet thrill of a fishing line in a serene lake to the lively notes of karaoke, where she let her voice shine.
One of Romayne's favorite places was the local Waffle House, where she would spend countless hours with her friends, sharing stories and laughter while working on her crafts. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she took great pleasure in creating beautiful and thoughtful pieces for those she loved.
Romayne's life was a testament to the power of laughter, love, and resilience. Her warm and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
