October 30, 1937 — May 8, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Rolande Daigle, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rolande peacefully departed from this world on May 8, 2026, in the comforting embrace of Forest Hill Manor's hospice care in Fort Kent, Maine. She was 88 years old. Born on October 30, 1937, in the picturesque town of Fort Kent, Maine, Rolande was the treasured daughter of Ludger and Elizabeth Michaud. Raised in a close-knit community, she grew up with deep-rooted values of family and love, which she carried throughout her life. Rolande was predeceased by her devoted parents and her beloved husband, Richard "Reno" Renauld Daigle, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of 59 years. They were married on June 11, 1956, and together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and warmth. Rolande leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her surviving family members. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Michael Daigle, Thomas Daigle, Laurie (Daigle) Pettengill and her husband Alan, and Brian Daigle and his wife Lois (Gleason) Daigle. Rolande’s heart was further blessed with six grandchildren: Sheila Daigle, Miranda Daigle, Kristen (Michaud) Allaire and her husband Christian, Kaitlyn Michaud, Christopher Rossignol, and Natasha Rossignol, who filled her life with joy and laughter. Her legacy of love extends to eight great-grandchildren: Aiden Lizotte, Brady Marquis, Sabrina “Sam” Bowler, Baylee Gesner, KevinMichael Henderson, Lance Cormier, Dominic Cormier, and Blake Hafford, who brought her immeasurable pride and happiness. Rolande’s life was a tapestry woven with simple joys and profound passions. She found solace in the gentle art of birdwatching, where each flutter and chirp brought serenity to her soul. Her garden was a vibrant array of colors, reflecting her love for planting flowers and nurturing life. Rolande’s kitchen was always filled with the delightful aromas of her cooking, as she took great pleasure in preparing meals for her loved ones. Her rocking chair on the porch was her sanctuary, where she would often sit, enveloped by the soothing notes of country music, most notably Patsy Cline and Hank Williams to name a few. A celebration of Rolande’s life will be held on May 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Louis Church. Family, friends, and all those touched by Rolande’s grace and kindness are invited to join together to honor and remember a remarkable woman who enriched the lives of everyone she met. As we bid farewell to our dear Rolande, we do so with gratitude for the countless memories she leaves behind. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the simplest of joys. In our hearts, her spirit will forever remain, an eternal light guiding us with her love and wisdom. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
