In Loving Memory

Roland L.Little
June 30, 1937 — June 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Roland L. Little, who left this world on June 22, 2026, just days shy of his 89th birthday. Roland departed this life quietly in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love of his family, in Charlotte, North Carolina — the city of his birth on June 30, 1937.
Born to Susan Little, Roland's life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering kindness. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Diane Wilson, with whom he shared 34 remarkable years of marriage. Together, they built a life rich in shared experiences, mutual respect, and boundless love. Diane was not only his partner but his confidante and greatest supporter.
Roland was a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren who adored him greatly, and a proud great-grandfather to four wonderful great-grandchildren. His role as a guiding light in their lives was one he embraced with enthusiasm and warmth. His stories, wisdom, and gentle humor will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Though his family was the centerpiece of his world, Roland also touched the lives of many others with his generosity and kindness. His legacy is one of compassion, service, and an enduring commitment to making the world a better place.
A service to celebrate Roland's life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Alexandra Funeral Home, located at 1424 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28206. Family, friends, and all whose lives were impacted by Roland are invited to join in remembering a remarkable man who lived life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Roland's spirit of giving and community support.
Although Roland's presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who knew him. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
