It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roland Hennesay, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on April 6, 2026. Roland was born on March 11, 1966, in El Centro, California, to the late Martha and Ronald Hennesay. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, after courageously battling a long illness.
Roland lived a life full of kindness, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His journey was one marked by service to his country, having proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Roland's time in the military was a testament to his courage and commitment, values he carried with him throughout his life.
In 2013, Roland found his soulmate in Lis Partida, and they were united in marriage on November 9th in Yuma, Arizona.
Roland is survived by his beloved wife, Lis Hennesay, and his son, RJ. He is also survived by his brothers, Peter and Jeffie Hennesay, and his sister, Martita Salazar, along with many cousins who he regarded as additional brothers and many adopted brothers and sisters. His numerous nieces and nephews who he was very proud of
In addition to his immediate family, Roland leaves behind a vast network of extended family and friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and generous spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Roland was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Ronald Hennesay, who surely welcomed him with open arms into eternal rest. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
The Hennesay family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Plans for a celebration of Roland's life are currently being arranged and details will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Roland's memory may consider making a donation to a charity close to the family's heart, as a way to continue his legacy of generosity and compassion.
