With love and remembrance, we honor the life of Roie Antonio Evans, who peacefully departed this world on March 26, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 67.
Roie was born on December 12, 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama, to his devoted parents, Allen Cleveland Evans and Evie Montgomery. From his early years, he carried the values of strength, resilience, and perseverance—qualities that would guide him throughout his life.
Roie’s journey was marked by determination and a generous spirit. He was a beacon of perseverance, overcoming life’s challenges with grace and dignity. One of his proud accomplishments was establishing his very own car wash business in Nevada, reflecting his work ethic and entrepreneurial drive.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, his father Allen Cleveland Evans, his mother Evie Montgomery, and his sister Cynthia Evans.
Roie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving family, extended relatives, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his presence, laughter, and unwavering kindness.
Throughout his life, Roie was known for his transparency, wit, and genuine heart. He had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. His legacy of love, strength, and joy will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
He leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories for his family and loved ones, including his daughters, Tamika Joi Edwards and Erinn Brooks; his son-in-law, Savon L. Edwards.
He is also lovingly remembered by a host of siblings, beginning with his twin sister, Roslyn “Roz” Henry; brothers Hugh Henry, Chris Miller, Michael, Cedric, Thomas “JJ” Evans, Wayne McGrady, and Steve Malone.
In addition, he leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Daylin T. Jackson, Savon C. Edwards, Hailee Brooks, Rhylee Brooks, and young Royce, who will continue to carry his legacy forward.
Roie also leaves behind a host of loving nieces and nephews, with special bonds shared with Nathaniel Patrick, Glenn Bernard, Desola & Bisola Balogun, Dena Williams, and Amber Barker.
