In Loving Memory

Roger Rodriguez
September 22, 1947 — March 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Roger Rodriguez, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, on March 21, 2026. At the age of 78, Roger left this world surrounded by love and grace in North Kansas City, Missouri.
Born on September 22, 1947, in Eagle Pass, Texas, Roger was the beloved son of the late Mary and Julian Rodriguez. Growing up in the close-knit community of Eagle Pass, Roger learned the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion from his parents, values which he carried with him throughout his life.
Roger was the devoted husband of Teresa Rodriguez, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they built a beautiful family, a testament to their enduring commitment to one another. Roger's legacy lives on through his children, Julian, Bonnie, Sasha, and Ashley, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a guiding light to his 22 grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart, and a loving great-grandfather to two precious great-grandchildren.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Julian and Mary Rodriguez, his beloved grandson, Erick Estrada, and his sister, Gloria Mattisien. Though their loss was deeply felt, Roger found solace in the enduring bonds of his family and the cherished memories they shared.
Roger lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and a steadfast dedication to those he loved. He was a man who believed in the power of community, and his warm spirit touched the lives of many. Whether through his volunteer work, his quiet acts of generosity, or his unwavering support of his family, Roger's impact was profound and lasting.
In his final days, Roger was surrounded by the compassionate care of the staff at North Kansas City Hospital, for which the family is eternally grateful. Their dedication and kindness provided comfort in a difficult time, and for that, the Rodriguez family extends their heartfelt thanks.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Roger's memory, allowing those closest to him a moment of reflection and celebration of his remarkable life.
As we bid farewell to Roger, we hold his memory close, knowing he will remain "forever in our hearts." His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the stories and smiles of those he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Roger's memory to a charity of your choice, as a way of honoring his generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.
Roger Rodriguez will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, enveloped in the love he so freely gave.
