Roger Lee Larson

Roger Lee Larson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of his family. Born on November 26, 1934, in Ashland, Wisconsin, Roger lived a life full of love, dedication, and service. The cherished son of Gust and Ruth Larson (Asplund), Roger was raised in a home that instilled in him the values of hard work and faith. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Gerald, Robert, Ray, and Alice, whom he dearly missed and often spoke of with great affection. Roger was a proud graduate of Ashland High School, where he laid the foundations for a life of learning and growth. Shortly thereafter, he served his country with honor as a member of the National Guard, a testament to his unwavering dedication and commitment to service. In a marriage that spanned 68 wonderful years, Roger was the devoted husband of Nancy Larson. Together, they built a family and a legacy that will endure through their five sons, Bob, Rod, Ralph, Randy, and Rich Larson, as well as their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who continue to carry forward his spirit and love. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Roger founded Larson Picture Frame, a testament to his industrious nature and creative vision. His craftsmanship was admired by many, and his work brought beauty to countless homes. Roger's life was enriched by his deep faith and his active membership at Salem Baptist Church, now known as Summit Church. He was often found sharing his passion for Jesus Christ and spreading his faith with others, a calling that he embraced wholeheartedly. His love for family was unparalleled, and he found immense joy in gardening and wood carving. These hobbies allowed him to express his creativity and dedication, and his creations were cherished by family and friends alike. A service to celebrate Roger's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Summit Church, located on Summit Drive. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Tamarack Hospital, the church body at Summit Church, and the numerous friends who have supported them throughout this journey. Memorial contributions in Roger's honor can be made to Summit Church or a charity of one's choice, reflecting his generous spirit and enduring legacy. Roger's life was a testament to love, faith, and service. His memory will be forever cherished, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
