Roger Lee Campbell

August 2, 1937 — May 29, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Lee Campbell, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who peacefully departed from this world on May 29, 2026, at the age of 88 after a brief illness. Born on August 2, 1937, in the city of Los Angeles, California, Roger was the son of Ross and Virginia Campbell. Roger graduated from Covina High School and later pursued further education at community colleges in Los Angeles, concentrating on engineering courses that would define his professional career. Roger's dedication and expertise led him to a brief career in the aerospace industry, contributing to the successful completion of Skylab, the first United States space station. Roger served as a deputy county supervisor for Los Angeles County and dedicated six years as a board of education member for the Bonita School District. His commitment to public service saw him excel as a Facilities Project Manager for LA County, a position he held with distinction for 44 years. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Roger was a passionate supporter of USC football and found joy in fishing and the great outdoors. Roger was married three times, each union bringing the joy and blessing of children. He is survived by his brother Gary, his daughter Laura Waer, and sons Brett Campbell and Roger Abbinate, as well as a loving niece and nephew. Roger's legacy extends to his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In honor of Roger's life and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Shriners Hospital and Special Olympics, organizations that Roger supported passionately, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. A private funeral ceremony will be held to commemorate Roger's life, in accordance with his wishes. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Claremont Assisted Living and Hospice of Havasu for their compassionate care and support during Roger's final days. May he rest in eternal peace.
