In loving memory of Rodney Pratcher, a man whose life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication. Rodney was born on May 10, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland, and it was there that he began a journey filled with deep connections, unwavering faith, and an enduring legacy. Rodney passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, as he went home to be with his Father, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Rodney was predeceased by his beloved parents, Rosemary Peay and Ronald Pratcher, and his cherished siblings, Ronald and Renee Pratcher. He is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Kelly Howard-Pratcher, with whom he shared "The Greatest Love Story Ever Written." Together, they built a family that was the center of Rodney's universe. Rodney's life was blessed with a loving family. He is remembered by his children Raquel, Ranikia, Rodney Jr, Ranair, Corinthia, Rodnay (Saboor), Rasaun, and Raine, as well as his bonus children Lacrea and Kenny. His legacy continues with his grandchildren Royce, Harlyn, Royal, Zayn, Breone, Rocki, Brielle, Brenden, Shad, Raleigh, Makenzie, Raquel, and Rashawn, who affectionately called him Pop Pop. Rodney's siblings Ryan, Trinda, Deidre, Chewayne, and Kia; Special friends including Craig, Woo, Steve, Tony, Gerald, and Lloyd; along with a host of family and friends that will forever cherish his memory. Rodney's educational journey began in the Baltimore City School System, where he laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial spirit. His professional life was marked by co-owning Pallet Makers pallet company, but his greatest job was serving his Lord and Savior. On January 8, 2015, Rodney joined The Believers New Teacher Bible Study and found a community where he could expand his knowledge of Christ, a passion he shared with his dear friend Craig and the T.B.N.T.B.S. community. Rodney was a man of many talents and interests. Whether he was spending time with his beloved grandchildren, cooking for his family, or hosting cookouts for friends and loved ones, Rodney's life was a celebration of togetherness and joy. He was a Great Husband, a loyal friend, and most importantly, an amazing father and grandfather, often stepping in to support those who were not his biological children. He was known affectionately as "A father to the fatherless; The Neighborhood Hero." In the words of his beloved wife Kelly, "I, Kelly take you Rodney to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part. Babes, our Love will prevail in this Life and The next." Love, Your Rib We Love You, Pop Pop, from all your grandkids, including your grand pups.
