December 29, 1947 — April 10, 2026

Rodney Lee Webb, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 29, 1947, in Arthur, Illinois, Rodney led a life marked by dedication, humor, and a profound love for his family. Rodney was the cherished son of the late James Franklin Webb Sr. and Rosetta Marie Sapp. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Blanche Marie Webb, who he married on May 14, 1966, in their hometown of Arthur, Illinois. Together, they shared a journey filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories until her passing in 2022. Rodney was also preceded in death by his only brother and one sister, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. A man of humble beginnings, Rodney completed his formal education through the 8th grade. However, his thirst for knowledge never waned. A self-taught man, he continually expanded his horizons through avid reading and a keen interest in restoring guns and cuckoo and pendulum clocks. His hands were never idle as he found joy in meticulously assembling model vehicles, a hobby that brought him peace and satisfaction. Rodney spent his early working years at the local cheese factory before finding his true calling as a welder at Progress in Arthur, Illinois, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His craftsmanship and dedication to his work were admired by all who knew him. Known for his sarcasm and dry humor, Rodney was a man who cherished his family above all else. Though not a people person by nature, his love for his family was evident in every interaction. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Sandy Webb of Horn Lake, MS, Anita (David) Cusick of Hopkinsville, KY, and MyLynda Webb of Horn Lake, MS. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Travis, Martisa, Katrina, Krista, Austin, Davey, Aaron, and Corrine, and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. Rodney is also survived by his sister, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends and family who were touched by his wit and unwavering love. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the cherished memories and stories shared by his loved ones. In this time of sorrow, the family finds solace in the countless moments of laughter and love that Rodney gifted them. They would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time. "He will be truly missed," they share, echoing the sentiments of all who knew him. Rodney Lee Webb's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and perseverance. As we say our goodbyes, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him, in the comfort of eternal love.
