In Loving Memory

Rodney Lee Inman
September 28, 1968 — June 15, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Rodney Lee Inman, whose adventurous spirit and zest for life were tragically cut short on June 15, 2026, due to an accidental fall from a zip line over his beloved pond. Born on September 8, 1968, in Springfield, Missouri, Rodney lived a life full of passion, creativity, and joy, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Rodney was the cherished son of Joann and the late Jack Inman, and he carried forward the strength and kindness instilled in him by his parents and grandparents. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted life partner of 36 years, Jennifer Henderson, who shared with him countless adventures and a love of rock hunting, concerts, and travel. Together, they raised their beloved granddaughter, Araya, who was the light of his life.
A proud graduate of Willard High School, Rodney celebrated his 40th high school reunion just two days before his passing, a testament to the enduring friendships he cultivated over the years. After high school, Rodney honed his skills as an automobile painter in Los Angeles and later pursued an aviation mechanic degree as well as aviation license at Central Missouri State College. His academic excellence was recognized on the Dean's List for two consecutive years, and he even lent his expertise to teaching classes. Rodney's career saw him owning his own paint and body shop, and his passion for aviation led him to share his love for flying with Araya, taking her on her first airplane ride.
Rodney's talents were as diverse as they were impressive. From driving race cars and riding dirt bikes to playing guitar and creating beautiful quilts, he truly was a Renaissance man. He found joy in painting both canvases and vehicles, with his '67 Camaro and custom chopper being among his prized possessions. Rodney's adventurous spirit was evident in his love for flying airplanes, riding roller coasters with Araya, and playing frisbee in moments of leisure.
Known for his infectious laughter and penchant for jokes, Rodney brought light and happiness into the lives of those around him. His life was a testament to the joys of living boldly and embracing every moment, whether it was attending concerts, spending time with friends, or simply enjoying the serenity of his home in Willard.
Rodney leaves behind his Loving partner Jennifer ,a beloved son Tanner, his adoring mother Joann, and his precious granddaughter Araya, who will forever cherish the memories of their time together. In addition to his father Jack, Rodney was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, whose guidance and love he carried throughout his life.
In the words of his family, Rodney's sudden departure has left an irreplaceable void in their hearts. His life, taken too soon by a tragic accident, serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of our time on earth and the importance of cherishing every moment.
As we bid farewell to Rodney, we celebrate the remarkable life he led, filled with laughter, love, and an unyielding spirit. May his memory continue to inspire us to live with the same daring and joy that defined his days.
