Rodney "Dan" LeMay

In loving memory of Rodney "Dan" LeMay, who left us unexpectedly on June 10, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on February 7, 1965, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Dan was an outdoorsman, incredible father, and friend to many. Dan was the eldest son of the late Tandy Rodney LeMay and Roselynn Robison LeMay Johnson, and the grandson of William Henry and Evelyn Marymon LeMay, and Vera Hicks and Leo Robison. Dan's love for his family was the foundation of his life. The core values of their family were built on faith and love, always supporting one another through life's challenges. With the LeMay name, Ethan will carry theses blessings to future generations. Dan is survived by his wife, Melissa Rodriguez, and their son, Ethan. survived by his siblings, Kim LeMay Daigre Bogue (Brett), Jean Beasley (Brad), Ted LeMay, and Shonda Henderson. He also leaves behind his nieces Madison, Bailey, Jaiden, and Tandi, aka Toot-Toot, who adored her Uncle Dan, his aunt, Loraine Lemay Moore (Leroy), along with uncles Pete Robison and Henry Robison (Aunt Sheila), and numerous cousins and friends. Dan attended Benton High School, Class of 1983, where he excelled on the football field as number 83. His passion for sports was matched only by his dedication to his work. As a locksmith for 35 years, Dan was a respected business owner, first as a franchise owner with Pop A Lock and later as the sole proprietor of A&E Lockout Services. For over two decades, he served his community with diligence and pride, always ready to lend a helping hand. A true outdoorsman, Dan found joy being nature, spending countless days hunting and fishing. Equipped with rifles and fishing poles, he was always prepared to share his love of the outdoors with family and friends. Dan believed deeply in teaching respect for nature, and his stories of spotting deer and setting the hook will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. Dan's passion extended beyond the woods and waters. He cherished time spent riding dirt bikes with Ethan, savoring the thrill of the ride and the stories shared along the way. His love for cooking and gathering with family was evident in every meal he prepared and shared. He turned each dinner into a celebration of love and togetherness. For Dan, hands-on jobs or repairs, when shared with loved ones, were an opportunity for connection and laughter. Dan never met a stranger. Just being present, Dan LeMay could make anywhere the place you wanted to be. A service to honor Dan's life will be held on June 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Faith Independent Baptist Church, located at 465 Eberle, Waskom, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to God's Outdoor Angels Foundation @ 443-398-5233 to extend Dan's love of the outdoors by sponsoring a child's dream. A Celebration of Life will be held in Longview, Texas, for friends and family to also honor his life. His absence leaves a profound void, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
