In Loving Memory

Rodney Brown
July 10, 1964 — November 1, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney Brown, a beloved father, brother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the age of 61. Rodney was born on July 10, 1964, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Gwin Files and Eugene Brown. He was a man of great warmth, humor, and love, who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Rodney’s life was a tapestry of joyful moments and cherished memories. He had an innate ability to make those around him laugh, always ready with a witty remark or a joke to brighten the day. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was a balm to the spirit, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
A lover of sports and games, Rodney had a particular passion for basketball and was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints. Many Sundays were spent gathered around the TV, cheering on his favorite team with his family and friends. In addition, he enjoyed the occasional escape into the world of video games, where he found joy and relaxation.
Rodney’s greatest pride and joy were his children: Nicole, Rodney Jr., Julius, Christopher and his wife Becky, Sasha and her husband, Andre, and Drew. They were the center of his universe, and he was their steadfast rock, always supporting and encouraging them in all their endeavors. His love for them was boundless, and his legacy lives on through them.
Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gwin Files and Eugene Brown, Rodney leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory and strive to honor his legacy of love, laughter, and strength.
A celebration of Rodney's life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Allen Chapel, located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Rodney are warmly invited to join us in remembering and honoring his remarkable life.
While Rodney may no longer be with us, his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. In our memories, he will forever remain the man who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life with an open heart. May he rest in peace, knowing he was truly loved and will be profoundly missed.
