Rocky Gonzales

September 10, 1983 — August 18, 2026

Richard Wayne Gonzales Jr “Rocky” was born September 10, 1983, at just 1lb 15oz at Tampa General Hospital. The nurses in the NICU nicknamed him Rocky because he was the only baby there that was kicking his feet and moving his arms. They said he was a fighter and he has been Rocky ever since. Life wasn’t always easy for Rocky, he was given bad health at birth, and it followed him throughout his adult life, but he tried to live his life as best he could. He worked hard, played hard and fought till the very end. You either loved Rocky or hated him; there wasn’t much in between. He was true to who he was and his loyalty to the ones he loved was unwavering. Rocky loved to make people laugh, make fun and pick at you endlessly never knowing when to stop and driving everyone crazy, but that was who he was. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, he loved fishing, guns and shooting them, music, being crazy and wearing the craziest, silliest things he could find including hot dog outfits, pink colors, weird crocs and crazy socks, just to get people to talk. He always liked to stir the pot, to watch people react over stuff he didn’t care about “mostly politics”, he loved the comments on social media and how everyone would get so upset over a simple comment. He loved sending pictures of his poop to everyone and sending creepy horror pictures to scare you. But Rocky’s most favorite thing in this world, his daughter “Sissy Grace” and he chose to spend every moment he could with her. She was his little princess. Rocky was preceded in death by all his paternal and maternal grandparents. His dad Richard Wayne Gonzales Sr, and his mom Georgie Ann Albritton. He is survived by his daughter Oaklyn Grace Morales, Siblings, Jesse Little, Adam Gonzales (Cassie), Eric Gonzales (Kelsey), Richard Swinehart (Ashley) and Matt Swinehart (Allison), Tami Halstead (Scott), Jaime Greene (Wayne) and Sophie Homan (Aaron), and his mom Gracie Jones (Perry). He had so many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces we couldn’t count them on all the fingers and toes in this room. Special mention to Eli Morales, Jenn Morales, Owen and Dayson Mcclellan which were a big part of his life.

God’s Garden

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best.

Special Thanks

The family of our loved one extends heartfelt gratitude for your prayers, support, and kindness during this time.
