It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rocco Oppedisano on July 11, 2026, at the accomplished age of 98. Born on October 19, 1927, in the picturesque town of Locri, Reggio Calabria, Italia, Rocco's life was a testament to the values of family, faith, and community.
Rocco was the beloved son of the late Antonio and Maria Concetta Oppedisano. He was predeceased by his cherished siblings Domenico and Caterina, who were always close to his heart. In his early years, Rocco cultivated a passion for reading and gardening, pursuits that would remain integral to his life. His garden and vinery were renowned for their bounty, and he delighted in sharing the fruits of his labor with family and neighbors alike.
In Locri, Rocco met and married the love of his life, Paolina. Their union was blessed with two sons, Antonio and Bruno, and a lifetime of shared joys and challenges. Together, they built a loving home characterized by warmth and generosity. Rocco's gentle spirit made everyone who crossed his path feel welcome and valued. His quiet acts of kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Rocco's legacy continues through his devoted wife Paolina, his sons Antonio and Bruno, and his daughter-in-law Lisa Di Prospero. His grandchildren, Luca and Sofia, were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments. Rocco's extended family, including Rosalba Romeo, Bruno and Patrizio Romeo, Sandra, Adriana, Nick and Antonio Curci, and Luisa, Marco, and Renato Mascherin, all held a special place in his heart.
