It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Robin Mixon, who left this world peacefully at her home on July 27, 2026. Born on March 22, 1960, in Connecticut, Robin was a beacon of warmth and kindness whose presence brought joy and comfort to all who knew her. Robin was the beloved daughter of the late Roberta Elizabeth Frisell and William Ray Frisell. She cherished her family above all and was a devoted mother to her three children: Jason Mixson, Jessie Mixson, and Heather Mixson Giles. Her love and wisdom were guiding lights that nurtured her children and will continue to inspire them throughout their lives. Robin was a cherished sister to her four sisters, Lisa Pfaff, Diedra Hall, Lilian Lem, and Karen Branham, and her brother, Johnny Frisell. Their bond was a testament to the strength and resilience that Robin embodied, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever unite them. Her life was further enriched by the love of Bobby Haigler, with whom she shared many cherished memories and laughter. Robin's greatest pride and joy were her nineteen grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her legacy will live on in the stories she shared, the lessons she imparted, and the love she spread. A celebration of Robin's life will be held on August 15, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at the home of Bobby Haigler, located at 1119 Diana Lee Ln, Monroe, NC 28112. Family, friends, and all whose lives Robin touched are invited to gather and honor the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Robin's memory to a charity of your choice. Robin's compassionate spirit will continue to touch lives through the generosity of those who knew and loved her.
