It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Roberto Mena, who left this world peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on June 3, 1964, in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, NY, Roberto was the cherished son of Elba Rivera. His life was a testament to love, resilience, and selflessness, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Roberto spent the majority of his young adult life dedicated to his role as a security guard, a position that suited his natural inclination to protect and care for those around him. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his unwavering devotion to his family—a family he cherished above all else. In his personal life, Roberto found joy in the simple pleasures. He had a knack for fixing things, especially computers and bikes, often spending countless hours collecting computer parts and tinkering with them until they hummed with life. A lover of games, Roberto was known for his competitive spirit when it came to playing UNO and Dominos, often filling the room with laughter and quick-witted humor. Roberto's heart was as big as his smile. He was a selfless soul, always putting the needs of his loved ones before his own. His daughter, Crystal Mena, was the light of his life, and he took immense pride in being a wonderful father. Though Roberto did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his legacy of love and laughter will endure through the countless lives he touched. A private funeral service will be held to honor Roberto’s memory, in accordance with the family's wishes. During this time of reflection, Crystal would like to extend her deepest gratitude to International Funeral Services for their grace, compassion, and dedication in bringing her father home respectfully. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love that Roberto left behind. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we celebrate a life well-lived, forever cherished in the hearts of those he loved.
