In Loving Memory
Roberto Carlos Pineda Arriaza
June 2, 2004 — April 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the
untimely passing of our beloved son, brother, and
friend, Roberto Carlos Pineda Arriaza. Born on June
2, 2004, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Roberto left
this world far too soon on April 21, 2026, at UNM
Medical Hospital, following a senseless road rage
shooting incident. An innocent bystander, his
departure is a devastating reminder of life’s fragility.
Roberto was the cherished son of Oscar Roberto
Pineda Marroquín and Irma Leticia Arriaza Perez. His
life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and kindness,
woven together with the threads of his vibrant
personality and his generous spirit. He shared a
special bond with his surviving siblings, Melanie G.
Pineda Arriaza and Marvin R. Salguero Arriaza, who
were not only his family but his closest friends.
Roberto was a proud graduate of Albuquerque High
School, where he cultivated a passion for mechanics
and technology. This love led him to a fulfilling career
as an Automotive Technician at Quality Mazda
Dealership. There, he specialized in automotive
repair and maintenance, gaining the trust and
admiration of colleagues and customers alike with
his exceptional skills and dedication.
An avid gamer, Roberto excelled in first-person
shooter games, where his strategic game sense and
high-level play were well recognized among his
peers. His enthusiasm for Japanese Domestic Market
(JDM) vehicles was unmatched, and he found
immense joy in building and admiring these cars.
Roberto’s love for vehicles was not just a hobby but a
way to connect with others who shared his passion.
Roberto was known for his infectious humor and
goofy nature, always ready with a joke to lighten the
mood. His friends and family will forever remember
how he could effortlessly bring laughter and joy into
any room. He was a beacon of kindness, consistently
offering help to anyone in need and giving people the
benefit of the doubt, which endeared him to
everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Roberto's life, though brief, was filled with vibrant
moments of exploration and connection. He deeply
loved spending time with his friends, always eager to
explore new horizons and create memories that
would last a lifetime.
A service to honor and celebrate Roberto's life will be
held on May 2nd, 2026. As we gather to remember
him, let us carry forward his legacy of kindness,
laughter, and generosity, ensuring that his spirit lives
on in all who knew and loved him
