August 14, 1963 — August 16, 2026

Roberta "Bobbi" Price, a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 63. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Born on August 14, 1963, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Bobbi was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene "Gene" H. Price III and Glenda L. Wright. Her life was a testament to unwavering determination, devotion, and joy, qualities instilled by her family and which she shared generously with those around her. Bobbi's early years were shaped by her family's involvement in 4-H, where she was an active member of the Valle Verde 4-H Club. Alongside her mother, she also co-founded the Golden Bears 4-H Club at the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, an achievement she was very proud of. Her participation in 4-H camps forged lifelong memories and friendships. Born with congenital rubella syndrome, she underwent surgeries beginning in infancy and faced physical and developmental challenges throughout her life. Bobbi proudly graduated from the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in 1985. The love and care she received from nurses and caregivers along the way affected her deeply, leading her to pursue studies in nurse aide programs. She later earned certification in food preparation and successfully lived on her own for a time with her poodles, Rusty and Rudy. Bobbi grew up in a musical family, where celebrations and holidays always involved music. Her vibrant spirit shone brightest at gatherings, whether singing along to Christmas carols, dancing, or accompanying her mother's band. She enjoyed playing her collection of CDs and, more recently, streaming music, where she could listen to any song at any time. Her other joys included playing games like Yahtzee and making crafts, especially beading necklaces and bracelets. At the Merakey Allegheny Valley School, Pittsburgh Campus, where she resided at the time of her passing, Bobbi participated in greenhouse gardening, choir, and recreational activities, enriching her days with creativity, purpose, and connection. Bobbi was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her devoted sister Becky Withrow and husband Sam of Murrysville, Pennsylvania; her niece Courtney Horner of Gladstone, Oregon; nephew Tristian Horner of Las Cruces, New Mexico; uncle Gary Wright of Bandera, Texas; uncle Billy Royce Medlin of Maljamar, New Mexico; and numerous cousins and friends. Her family's love and support provided her with strength and joy throughout her life. A celebration of life will be held to honor Bobbi's memory at a later date in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Merakey Allegheny Valley School, Pittsburgh Campus, 1996 Ewings Mill Road, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, or online at https://avs.merakey.org/donate-now.html. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who touched Bobbi's life and brought joy and purpose to her every day, especially the teams at the Westmoreland County Blind Association and Merakey Allegheny Valley School during the final years of her life. Bobbi's warmth, resilience, and love for life will be cherished always by those who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her journey.
