Robert William Greer Jr

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert William Greer Jr, known affectionately to many as Bob, who departed this world on October 19, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on November 14, 1948, in Wilmington, North Carolina, Bob was a cherished son of the late Ella Merle Greer and Robert W Greer. Bob's journey through life was marked by a deep love for his family and a commitment to his career. He graduated from Florida State University, a place that held a special place in his heart throughout his life. Following his education, Bob dedicated many years as a claims investigator, a career in which he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his diligence and integrity. His love for the ocean was well known; Bob often remarked that the beach was where he could truly relax and find peace. This love for the sea was a reflection of his own serene and calming presence, traits he shared generously with those around him. Bob was predeceased by his beloved parents, his sister Linda Greer Manning, and his daughter Lisa Greer Bradford. He is survived by his brother David Greer, his children Daniel P Greer (Danni) and Cynthia D Smith, who were the light of his life, and his legacy continues through his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Known for his unwavering love of family, Bob was a constant source of support and joy. His family and friends will remember him for his kind heart, steadfast guidance, and the warmth he brought into every room. To honor Bob's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held for close family members. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his memory to Florida State University, an institution that Bob held dear throughout his life. Bob's departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him, but his spirit and the love he shared with us will remain in our hearts forever.
