With heavy hearts and profound gratitude, we honor the remarkable life of Robert W. Dustin, affectionately known as Bob, who peacefully went home to the Lord on May 13, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on February 16, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bob lived a life rich with love, service, and dedication—a testament to his enduring spirit and unwavering faith.
Bob was the beloved son of Lester and Margaret Dustin, who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his cherished wife of 54 years, A. Jane Dustin, his brother Fred Dustin, sisters Audrey Weissenburger and Dorthy Reith, and his son-in-law Lloyd Hetherton Jr. Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those he loved dearly.
Surviving Bob are his devoted children, Wendy Hetherton, Wayne Dustin, Warren Dustin and his wife Donna, Ward Dustin and his partner James, and foster daughter Martha Baker. He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom to his 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Janet Dustin, and many nieces and nephews. His family, including all those who lovingly called him "Grandpa," will forever cherish his memory.
Bob married the love of his life, A. Jane Mould, in 1955 in New Jersey. Together, they built a beautiful life, moving to Piscataway, NJ in 1957, where they raised their family. In 1982, they relocated to Florida, embracing new adventures while staying rooted in their cherished values.
A proud veteran, Bob honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, stationed in France during the Korean War. His service was recognized with the Good Conduct and National Defense Medals, reflecting his commitment and integrity.
Professionally, Bob was a dedicated electrician, a career he pursued with passion and precision. He worked for Germinsky Electric in Plainfield, NJ, before continuing his vocation at Service Electric in Florida. His work was not just a job but a testament to his steadfast dedication and skill.
Bob's life was marked by service to others, a quality that shone brightly in his volunteer work with the Arbor Rescue Squad, where he served as President, and the Boy Scouts in NJ. His faith was a guiding light, leading him to active membership in North Plainfield Baptist Church in NJ, Faith Baptist in Palm Bay, FL, and Greendale Baptist Church in Wisconsin.
In his leisure, Bob found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid puzzle enthusiast and a passionate supporter of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. His love for these teams was surpassed only by the love he held for his family and friends.
A service celebrating Bob's life will be held on May 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Greendale Baptist Church, located at 5651 S. 51st St, Greendale, WI 53129. All are welcome to join in honoring a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His burial will be in Florida at a later date.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Zablocki Veterans Hospital for their compassionate care and to his nephew, Scott Dustin, for his loving support during the past year.
Bob's legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering faith. He touched the lives of many, and his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the memories and the love he shared, forever grateful for the time we had with such a remarkable man.
