It is with both deep sorrow and heartfelt celebration of a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert Vaughn Langley, who left this world peacefully at home on August 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on November 14, 1958, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Robert was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who had the honor of knowing him. From an early age, he exhibited a remarkable ability to bring light into any room with his quick wit, warm smile, and penchant for telling jokes that would lift spirits and bring laughter to all around him. His genuine nature made everyone feel welcomed and valued, a trait that he carried throughout his entire life. Robert was the cherished son of Mary Rebecca Baker Langley and the late Pete Taylor. He was predeceased by his beloved sisters, Mildred "Mickie" Bruce and Joanne McClain, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. A devoted husband, Robert shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Laurie Soper-Langley. Together, they built a family filled with. He was a proud father to his daughter, Lauren Maki (Langley)son in law- Neil, and his son, Spencer Drew Langley (Fiance Marissa Binstock). Robert was also the adored grandfather to Caiden, who brought immense joy to his life. Robert’s legacy is one of love, humor, and kindness. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
