He was the cherished son of Ossie L. Thomas and Daisy B. Thomas, who instilled in him the values of integrity and compassion that he carried throughout his life. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Lillian Faith Thomas, Everlena Bloodworth, Barbara Brown, and BarryAnn Johnson, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories.
For 33 wonderful years, Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Francine Thomas. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and shared dreams. He was a proud and loving father to his sons, Terrance, Terrell, Walter, Ronnie, and Philip Thomas. Robert's family was his pride and joy, and he devoted himself to nurturing their growth and happiness.
Robert's legacy extends to his 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He found immense joy in watching them grow, play, and achieve their dreams, always encouraging them to pursue their passions and live with integrity.
A man of great faith, Robert was a dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church in Akron, Ohio, where he found community and spiritual fulfillment. His faith guided his actions and his interactions, and he was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.
