Robert Shanklin

March 28, 1952 — May 20, 2026

Robert Shanklin, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed peacefully from this world on May 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on March 28, 1952, in the charming town of Whitehall, Wisconsin, Robert's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. Robert was the cherished son of Raymond and Janet Shanklin, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and hard work. Although they have long since passed, their legacy lives on through Robert, who carried their teachings throughout his life. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Mary Lou Shanklin, and, heartbreakingly, by his beautiful daughter, Serenity, whose memory Robert cherished and held close to his heart every day. Robert's journey through life was blessed with a devoted partner, his wife, Faye Shanklin. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Their bond was one of true companionship and strength, a testament to their unwavering dedication to each other. Robert was a proud and loving father to his son, Scott Shanklin, and his daughter, Suzanne Shanklin. He was their guiding light, always ready with words of wisdom or a comforting embrace. His children were his pride and joy, and he celebrated every achievement and milestone with them, providing unwavering support and encouragement. In addition to his immediate family, Robert's heart and home were always open to his extended family, including Latosha Blue and Erica Bernard, who he welcomed and cherished as his own. Robert faced his final days with the same courage and grace that he had shown throughout his life. After a valiant battle with illness, he was ready to find peace in his heavenly home, comforted by his faith and the love of his family. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Robert's life and honor his memory on June 20, 2026. The service will be held at 2:00 PM, where stories will be shared, and his life will be celebrated with the warmth and love that he shared with so many. Robert Shanklin's legacy is one of love, strength, and kindness. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the lessons he taught will remain with us always. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Robert's memory, as a way to continue his legacy of caring and generosity.
