It is with deep sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Robert Scott Johnson, a cherished brother, friend, and community member. Robert peacefully departed this world on April 17, 2026, at St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, Washington, enveloped in the warmth of those who knew and loved him. Born on November 8, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, Robert's journey through life was marked by laughter, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those around him. Robert was the beloved son of the late Billy B. Johnson and Gisela D. Johnson, who instilled in him values of compassion and integrity. Growing up in a lively household, he shared many fond memories with his siblings, both those who preceded him in passing—Audrey, Caroline, Jesse L., and Steven B. Johnson—and those who survive him: Fred Johnson, Mike Johnson, Ken Johnson, and Jane Vollant. Though he did not have children or grandchildren, Robert was a guiding light and steadfast presence in the lives of his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and countless friends. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Robert found his calling in the construction industry, where he worked tirelessly on both commercial and residential projects. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated professional whose work ethic was matched only by his genuine concern for others' well-being. Robert's career was more than a job; it was a testament to his ability to build not only structures but also lasting relationships cemented with trust and respect. Robert was a man of diverse interests and passions. A die-hard Seahawks fan, he was often seen cheering enthusiastically during games, his energy infectious to those around him. He had a love for cars, particularly relishing the long, serene drives in his cherished Mercedes, exploring the natural beauty that surrounded him. Hiking was another favorite pastime, offering him peace and reflection amidst the trails. Additionally, his love for music brought him to countless concerts, where he shared unforgettable moments with friends and family. Those who knew Robert remember him for his quick wit and warm smile, attributes that made everyone feel welcome and valued in his presence. His kindness and generosity were cornerstones of his character, always offering a helping hand or a comforting word to those in need. Robert had a rare gift for brightening the lives of everyone he encountered, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. As we bid farewell to Robert, we hold onto the cherished memories and the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind. His family extends their gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time. A celebration of Robert's life will be announced at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor the remarkable journey of a man who gave so much to so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Robert's memory, as a testament to his life of generosity and kindness. Rest in peace, dear Robert. Your spirit will forever guide us, and your love will always be in our hearts.
