Robert "Rick" Richards II

Robert "Rick" Richards II, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on July 22, 2026, just days shy of his 63rd birthday. Born on July 28, 1963, in Fontana, California, Rick was the cherished son of Robert and Alberta Richards. His mother, Alberta, preceded him in death, and Rick is survived by his devoted father, Robert, and his loving sisters, Stephanie, Toni, and Kim. Rick was a proud graduate of Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California. With a strong work ethic and an eye for detail, he built a career as a professional painter, bar manager, and truck driver. Known for his immaculate appearance and trademark salt and pepper curly hair, Rick's quick wit and perfectionism left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He made friends effortlessly and maintained those bonds for decades. A man of many talents and interests, Rick passionately pursued billiards, fishing, skateboarding, and dirt biking. He had a knack for tinkering, always discovering new ways to fix or improve things around him. These hobbies brought him joy and connected him with a community that shared his zest for life. Rick was a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 289, where he found camaraderie and a sense of purpose. His presence there will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rick is survived by his two sons, Nicolas and Ryan, who were the pride of his life. His loving partner and dear friend, Cynthia, stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing countless cherished memories. The family extends their gratitude to the American Legion Post 289, Amy XXX, Ralph XXX, and Ramon XXX for their unwavering support during this difficult time. A celebration of Rick's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 289, located at 4151 Buchanan St., Riverside, CA 92506.
