Robert Richard Chase

Obituary: Robert Richard Chase (1937–2026) With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Richard Chase on June 24, 2026, at the age of 89. He died surrounded by Sally (Bawn), his wife of 68 years. Born on March 7, 1937, in Fredericton, Robert was the only son of Velma and Ernest Chase. He was predeceased by sisters Jean and Muriel and by his youngest daughter Susan. A graduate of Fredericton High School (FHS), Bob's career spanned an impressive 35 years at NB Power. He spent his retirement traveling the world with Sally. His love for sports was matched only by his keen interest in the stock market. He is survived by his wife Sally, daughter Vicki, granddaughter Ashley and great grandson Aston. The family would like to thank the staff of the extended care unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (DECH) for their care during Bob's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory can be made to a charity of your choice. As per Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral service. His interment service in Taymouth is to be determined at a later date.
