He was predeceased by his beloved parents, his sister Marion Yvonne Hall, brothers Lenard Hall and Dennis Wayne Braxton, Sr., and his nephew John Franklin Hall II. His legacy of love and music is carried forward by his surviving brother, John Franklin Hall Sr., and a spirited family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who cherished him deeply. Robert’s career was one of quiet dedication and service. For many years, he worked as a janitor, serving the school community with pride and integrity until his retirement from Peres Elementary in Richmond, California. His hard work and gentle presence left an indelible mark on everyone who walked those halls. Music was the heartbeat of Robert’s life. His natural love for creating music and his ability to play many different instruments was a special gift he shared generously. It was through music that Robert found his voice, expressing his spirit and bringing joy to those fortunate enough to hear him play. Whether strumming a guitar or tapping out a rhythm, Robert's music was a testament to his soul’s joy and creativity. Robert's personal qualities shone brightly in all he did. He was a man of kindness and grace, whose presence lit up a room and whose smile could warm the coldest day. His legacy is woven into the fabric of his family, who remember him as a loving uncle, brother, and friend. As I sit in heaven and watch you everyday, I try to let you know with signs I never went away. I hear you when you're laughing and watch you as you sleep. I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away, begging to have me home. So I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone. Don't feel guilty that you have life that was denied to me. Heaven is truly beautiful, just you wait and see. So live your life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free. Then I know with every breath you take, you'll be taking one for me.
