In Loving Memory

Robert Parker Jackman
December 9, 1934 — June 23, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Parker Jackman, an exceptional man, father, and cherished friend to many. Bob was also the adored grandfather of Chase and Zoe Jackman. Bob departed this life peacefully on June 23, 2026, at the age of 91. He was surrounded by love and the comforting presence of his two children, Lisa Jackman Morris and Ty Jackman at Saint Francis Hospital.
Bob was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, on December 9, 1934, to the late William Henry and Etta Jackman. He is also preceded in death by his brother William Donald Jackman. Robert attended high school in Sapulpa and Miami, Oklahoma, graduating from Miami in 1952. He earned a bachelor's degree in Geology from OSU in 1957.
His career was as an Independent Oil and Gas Operator and Petroleum Geologist. During retirement he worked on many philanthropic projects such as exposing the cause of Oklahoma earthquakes from wastewater injection wells. He investigated poultry farm biohazardous waste leaching into groundwater. He had a passion for saving Lake Atoka's water. In between projects he painted, wrote poetry and newspaper articles. Bob was a lifelong member of the YMCA where he enjoyed camaraderie and staying healthy. His spirit was of encouragement and laughter. He was always ready with a joke or a kind word of encouragement.
A gathering to celebrate Bob's extraordinary life will be held on July 19, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Donations can be made to the YMCA of Greater Tulsa. As we say goodbye to Bob, let us carry forward his legacy of positivity, humor and a steadfast commitment to making the world a better place by always questioning authority.
