It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Robert Ogden, who left this world on May 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 13, 1968, in the warm and welcoming community of Carrollton, Kentucky, Robert's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and a profound love for his family and the great outdoors. The beloved son of Linda and Curt Stangle, Robert cherished the values and love instilled in him by his family, a devotion that he carried throughout his life. He was a devoted husband to Mary Ogden, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage that began on August 13, 1999. Their bond, marked by unwavering support and love, was an inspiration to all who knew them. Robert graduated from Carroll County High School, setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning and exploration. He continued his education at The University of Kentucky, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. With a keen intellect and a passion for his work, Robert dedicated 25 years to his career as a Lab Technician at Dow. His colleagues remember him not only for his expertise and dedication but also for his warmth and camaraderie. Outside of his professional life, Robert was an avid outdoorsman who found solace and joy in nature. Whether on a serene fishing trip or an adventurous hunting excursion, he felt most at home surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. These moments brought him peace and a profound sense of connection to the world around him. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and his devoted siblings, Heather Ogden and Shawn Ogden, who shared in his laughter and love throughout the years. He was a cherished uncle to Madeline Aldridge and Trey Ogden, offering them the same kindness and generosity that were the hallmarks of his life. Robert's legacy is one of love, kindness, and generosity—a legacy that will be carried forward by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. In honoring Robert's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing his family and close friends to celebrate his life in an intimate setting. During this time, we remember Robert as a man of integrity, warmth, and unwavering love—a true testament to a life well-lived. Though Robert did not have grandchildren or great-grandchildren, his spirit and memory will continue to flourish through the stories and memories shared by those who loved him. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to cancer research organizations, honoring Robert's courageous battle and his hope for a future without this devastating disease.
