It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Nelson Jefferies, a cherished soul whose life touched many. Robert peacefully departed this world on April 30, 2026, at the age of 59, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience. Born on May 17, 1966, in the vibrant heart of the Bronx, Robert’s journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and community. Robert was the beloved son of Jeannette McNair and Robert N. Davoren Sr., who together instilled in him values of compassion and integrity. He was the dear brother to Danielle Davoren, Dannette, affectionately known as Mouse, and Nyri Jefferies, as well as Nathan Davoren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terrence, lovingly remembered as Kaseim, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. A devoted father, Robert's pride and joy were his children, Rasheen Woodard and Zania Gaston. He found immense joy in the laughter and love of his grandchildren: Egypt, Noah, the late Cairo, Hayn, Pharaoh, Xionah, and the newest addition, Achilles Kennings. Robert cherished every moment with them, leaving behind a treasury of memories that will be a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come. Robert was also a loving uncle to his many nephews and nieces, including Anthony Brent, Brandon Davoren, Bryan Polite, Justin Jefferies, Tia, Elizabeth, Brittany, Ebony, Jonizia (Mooka) Jones, Daphane Wilson, Kalecyah, Terrianne, Essence, Natasha Butler, and Totiyona Jefferies, Natalie Davoren. His legacy lives on in his wide circle of grand-nieces and nephews, 26 in total, who will forever remember his kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter. The memory of Robert’s late wife, Rose, remains a cherished part of his story, as they shared a bond that transcended life’s challenges and brought immense joy to those around them. Robert now joins her in eternal peace, leaving behind a host of extended family and loyal friends who will forever cherish his memory. Robert's life will be celebrated at a service on May 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the International Funeral Service, located at 1761 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10031. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a man who lived with grace, generosity, and an unwavering spirit. In remembering Robert, we celebrate a life well-lived and a love that will never fade. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all.
