In loving memory of Robert M. Burns, “Bob”,who passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 22, 2026. Born on October 10, 1954, in Glendale, California, Bob lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness that left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
Bob was the son of George Burns and Edith DeNardo, both of whom predeceased him. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Suzanne, whom he married 39 years ago in Syracuse, New York. Together, they raised their children Jennifer Burns, Kathleen Burns and Bobbie Odell (Burns). Bob was the proud grandfather of Gavin.
Bob enjoyed a long and successful career in the car business spanning over four decades. Whether he was selling, training, or running dealerships, he found satisfaction in boosting morale and closing deals. His smart, perceptive nature and genuine kindness made him a respected and beloved figure among colleagues and clients alike.
Bob was a fan of Dodgers baseball, a lifelong passion that only his love for family could surpass. Bob discovered a love for ice hockey through the Flyers and proudly served as an assistant coach for his daughter’s team. He also held a special place in his heart for the Raider Nation.
Bob was an active participant in the MontBlanc Supper Club and the Center Lisle Congregational Church. He found joy and companionship at the Northern Broome Senior Center. He was an excellent card player whose opponents invariably left with a smile.
Bob is survived by his wife Suzanne; his children Jennifer, Kathleen (Mike Sanguinetti) and Bobbie (Ben Odell)his grandson Gavin; his sisters-in-law Deborah and Sarah; his brother-in-law Kevin; his cousin Robin; and a host of friends who will dearly miss his warm smile, sincere hugs, and infectious chuckle.
In remembrance of Bob's generous spirit and the kindness he shared with the world, the family invites those who wish to honor his memory to make a donation to Alzheimers Association. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported Bob during his illness and peaceful passing.
Bob Burns will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, the joy he brought into the lives of others, and a life lived fully and well. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
