It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Leo Bowman, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, on September 21, 2026. Born on January 25, 1942, in Indianapolis, Robert lived a life full of love, service, and dedication. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family, a testament to the warmth and care that defined his life. Robert was the son of Glen and Mildred Bowman, who instilled in him values of hard work and compassion. He bravely served his country in Vietnam, an experience that shaped his resilience and deepened his appreciation for life. Upon returning home, Robert chose to dedicate himself to the land, becoming a farmer and small business owner, where he cultivated not only crops but also a legacy of integrity and community spirit. Robert shared nearly five decades of marriage with his beloved wife, Nicole Bowman, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Robert leaves behind his devoted children: son, Robbie Bowman, and daughters, Sherry Bowman and Shannon McIntyre. His legacy continues with his seven grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his later years. A man of simple pleasures, Robert found joy in fishing, woodworking, and spending time with those he loved. His hands, once skilled in the art of woodworking, crafted not only beautiful pieces but also memories cherished by those who knew him. As a member of the Garden City Church of Christ, Robert's faith was a guiding light, sustaining him through life's joys and challenges. In honoring Robert’s wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of one's choice, reflecting Robert's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Robert Leo Bowman will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit, and the love he shared with all who were fortunate to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire his family for generations to come.
