October 23, 1952 — April 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Robert Lee White Jr., who departed this life on April 1, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on October 23, 1952, in Natchez, Mississippi, Robert was the cherished son of the late Nancy White and Robert Lee White Sr. Robert's life was a tapestry of love, hard work, and dedication to family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of memories to be cherished by his beloved husband, James A. Williams Jr., his son, James A. Williams I!! (TanTasha), and his daughter, Keishawn W. Hayes (Jason). He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Jackson (Helen), and his sisters, Wavette Davis, Annette Singleton, Alcinia Pugh (John), and Mary Ann Jackson. Robert was a proud grandfather to A'Laila Williams, Janiyah Williams, Katelyn Williams, Marley Hayes, Kaison Williams, Langston Hayes, Ra'Myaha Jones, and Colby Morris, and a loving great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A true craftsman at heart, Robert had a passion for working on cars that was not only a skill but a labor of love. His hands were never idle, always ready to fix, tinker, or lend a helping hand. Whether under the hood or sharing his knowledge, he found joy and fulfillment in his work, embodying the spirit of generosity and kindness. Robert found peace and contentment in the great outdoors, particularly while fishing. The gentle lapping of water against the boat and the quiet anticipation of a catch provided solace and happiness. He loved driving boats, experiencing the freedom and calmness that the open water offered. These moments on the water were some of his most cherished. At home, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life—good conversation, the comfort of familiar surroundings, and reminiscing on cherished memories. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, whose love, wisdom, and steady presence formed the foundation of countless special moments. A service to celebrate Robert's life will be held on April 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at King Solomon Baptist Church, located at 6 Spring St., Natchez, Mississippi, 39120. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and to honor a man who touched so many with his warmth and kindness. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who showed love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your prayers, calls, and comforting words have meant more than we can express. He will always be remembered for his strength, his love for working on cars, his peaceful days spent fishing, and the joy he found out on the water driving his boats. The memories he created with family and friends will live on forever. “Forever in our hearts, always in our memories.” In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing his legacy of generosity and kindness to those in need. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
