In Loving Memory of Robert Lee McNair It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Lee McNair on October 13, 2026. Born on February 24, 1969, in Newburgh, NY, Robert was a man whose presence was as vibrant and enduring as the laughter he so often inspired. He departed this world peacefully at home. The beloved son of the late Robert L McNair and Barbara Beckwith, Robert was predeceased by his parents, leaving behind a legacy that is carried on by his surviving family: his cherished children, Robert L McNair and Christopher McNair; his devoted siblings, Willie E McNair, Danny McNair, Damon MacNair, and Regina Sy; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whose lives he touched deeply. Robert's journey began at Newburgh Free Academy, where he graduated and laid the foundation for a life filled with passion and creativity. Known for his love of music, Robert found joy in DJing, a hobby that allowed him to share his love of rhythm and melody with all who had the pleasure of hearing him play. His character was marked by a strong will and a stubborn determination to stand by his beliefs, qualities that endeared him to those who knew him best. Robert had a remarkable way of blending strength with humor; his quick wit and infectious smile could light up any room, turning ordinary events into treasured occasions. His ability to make others laugh and his penchant for keeping people on their toes will be remembered fondly by all. A service to honor Robert's life will be held at Brooks Funeral Home, located at 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550. As we gather to celebrate his life, we take comfort in the memories shared, the laughter he brought into our lives, and the love that remains with us. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert's memory to a charity of your choice, as a testament to his generous spirit and enduring legacy. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are forever grateful for the time we had with Robert. He will always hold a special place in our hearts, and his memory will live on in the smiles and laughter he inspired. Until we meet again, dear Robert, you will be loved and deeply missed.
