Robert L. Hill

It is with deep sorrow yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert L. Hill, affectionately known as "Bobby" to his loved ones. Born on February 3, 1961, in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL, he left this world on May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of his cherished family. Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert Louis and Annie Kate Hill, whose memory he held close to his heart. He was predeceased by his siblings, Alfonso Hill, Evelyn Cherry, and Robin Hill, and now joins them in eternal rest. Robert is survived by his siblings, Lorenzo (Alice) Hill, Anthony (Eujeania) Hill, and Gerald (Zada) Hill, who will forever remember him as a loving brother. A devoted father, Robert's legacy lives on through his children: Anesha Hill, Robert (Julie) Hill, Rha'Vyn Hill, JaWon Hill, Jazsmine Billings, Jhada Harris, and Vinecia (Jamal) Evans. He was a proud grandfather to Destannie Hill, Malachi Hill, Amaya Hill, Jamal Evans III, JaKhari Evans, Jamere Young, Kaidyn Hill, and Jaidyn Hill, each of whom brought a special joy to his life. Robert's story began in Chicago and continued to unfold when he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated from Bass High School in 1979. His career was dedicated to hard work and perseverance, having spent many years in various warehouse roles, culminating in his time at WinCup in Tucker, Georgia. Robert's life was marked by a love for laughter, music, and family gatherings. Known for his infectious smile and his signature baseball cap cocked to the side, he brought warmth and joy to every room he entered. His heart was as big as his laugh, and he was never without a kind word or a helping hand for those in need. He shared a youthful love with Rebecca Williams, with whom he had two children, and later married Safona Billings, with whom he shared two more children. These relationships were a testament to his capacity for love and friendship, which he nurtured throughout his life. Robert's life will be honored at a service on June 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Gregory B Levett & Son's South DeKalb Chapel, located at 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy, Decatur, GA 30034. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memories and stories of Robert be shared, as these are the lasting treasures he leaves behind. The Hill family extends their deepest gratitude to the many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who shared in Robert's journey.
