In Loving Memory of Robert Davis With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Robert Davis, who departed this world on August 10, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on September 29, 1938, in Denver, Robert was the cherished son of E.O. and Ruth Davis. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose life was a testament to dedication, love, and service. Robert attended Englewood High School, graduating in 1956, and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy in 1957. With honor and diligence, he served as an Aviation Machinist Mate on an aircraft carrier, achieving the rank of ADJ2. His exemplary conduct earned him a Good Conduct Medal and several commendations, reflecting his unwavering commitment to his duties. In 1961, Robert married the love of his life, Patricia Scharles, on November 4. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a love that inspired all who knew them. Sadly, Patricia preceded him in death, along with their daughter Diana Snell, and great grand daughter Jordan Snell, also his beloved parents E.O. and Ruth Davis, and his sister LaVeta Rouse. Robert's legacy includes his surviving children: daughter Theresa Davis, son Mark Davis, daughter-in-law Kelly Davis, and son-in-law Frank Snell. He was the proud grandfather of Tiffany Carmichael, Amber Snell, Adam Snell, Andrew Snell, and Ashley Taitano, and the great-grandfather to six wonderful great-grandchildren. Additionally, Robert leaves behind a sister Betty Lane, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a network of friends who were touched by his kindness and spirit. Robert's professional journey took him to Dixon Paper, later known as International Paper, where he dedicated over 39 years of service before retiring in 2004. His work ethic and integrity left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the community. A man of many passions, Robert was an avid camper and fisherman, relishing the tranquil beauty of Twin Lakes near Leadville, Colorado. These cherished moments, spent with family and friends, created memories that will forever be treasured. A service honoring Robert's life will be held on September 25, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Fort Logan Cemetery, located at 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, Colorado. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place at the VFW Hall at 3800 S. Windermere at 11:30 am, where family and friends will gather to share stories and memories of this remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice, reflecting Robert's lifelong commitment to giving back and making the world a better place. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who was a part of Robert's life. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to guide us.
