It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert John Williams, Jr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Robert left this world peacefully on August 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 17, 1946, in Pinehurst, North Carolina, Robert was the beloved son of Robert John Williams, Sr. and Ida Jackson. Robert carried forward the values instilled in him by his parents, who predeceased him, living a life of integrity, hard work, and kindness. Robert spent his life as a beacon of love and support for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathern (Kathy) Williams, whose partnership and love were the cornerstone of their life together. Robert’s legacy continues through his children, Lynn Allen, Billy Allen and his wife Tonya, and Sheila Allen and her husband Mark. Their lives were enriched by his guidance and unwavering support. As a grandfather, Robert cherished every moment with his grandchildren, Linda Davis and her husband Matt, Ricky Watson and his wife Kam, Corey Watson and his wife Ashley, and Lacey Allen. He took great joy in watching them grow and thrive. Robert was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. Robert was a man of quiet strength and wisdom, whose gentle spirit touched everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in the serene landscapes of his birthplace, Pinehurst. His love for nature was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Robert’s life and legacy. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Robert’s lifelong commitment to helping others. Robert John Williams, Jr. will be remembered for his warmth, compassion, and the indelible mark he left on those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, as they find comfort in the love and lessons he imparted. May he rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
