It is with profound sadness and deep appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert Jacobsen Jr., who departed this world peacefully at his home on April 29, 2026. Born on August 21, 1957, in the close-knit community of East Moline, Illinois, Robert lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication to those around him. Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert and Nancy Jacobsen, who instilled in him the values of kindness, integrity, and the importance of family. His life was further enriched by the bonds he shared with his three siblings, who predeceased him, and his six surviving siblings, who now carry forward the legacy of unity and support he so cherished. A man of quiet strength and gentle humor, Robert was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew him. He possessed an innate ability to make others feel valued and understood, a gift he shared freely throughout his life. Whether through a warm smile, a heartfelt conversation, or a simple act of kindness, Robert’s presence was a beacon of light and warmth to many. Robert’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to family. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, always eager to share in the joys and challenges of those he loved. His role as a grandfather was one he held with immense pride and joy, and his grandchild was the recipient of countless stories, lessons, and the unconditional love that only a grandparent can offer. Though his parents and siblings have preceded him in passing, Robert's spirit will continue to thrive through the lives of his surviving family members and his grandchild, who will carry forward his values and honor his memory in the years to come. As we bid farewell to Robert, we celebrate a life that was filled with purpose and love. We take comfort in knowing that he has found peace and is once again reunited with his beloved family who went before him. A private service will be held to honor Robert’s life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to a charity of your choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Robert Jacobsen Jr. will be dearly missed, but his memory will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.
