It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert J. Bouchard, affectionately known as "Bob" to his family and friends, who left this world on April 7, 2026. Bob passed peacefully, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, at the age of 82. Born on December 27, 1943, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Bob was a man of simple pleasures and grand heart. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Roland Bouchard, and his sister Annette O'Keefe. Despite the losses he endured, Bob's spirit remained resilient, an embodiment of strength and perseverance. Bob's journey through life was marked by his dedication to his family and his work. A skilled mason and carpenter by trade, his craftsmanship was admired by many. Later, he found joy in his role as a security guard at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, where he could indulge his passion for NASCAR racing. His love for the sport was evident, as he never missed a race and was known to share his enthusiasm with anyone who would listen. In addition to his professional life, Bob was a man of diverse interests. He found joy in the simple act of building things, a testament to his creative spirit and industrious nature. Bob was also a regular at bingo nights, where his jovial presence and quick wit brought smiles to many faces. Bob's greatest legacy, however, is his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Catherine Bouchard, who was his partner in life's journey. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable memories. Bob's legacy also lives on in his children: daughter Claire and her husband Joe Garcia, daughter Suzy and her husband Shane Stevens, son Donald and his wife Donna Bouchard, and daughter Roberta and her husband Michael Capps. He also cherished his stepchildren: Bruce and Jess Paul, Christopher Paul, and Kimberly and her husband Ryan Carson. Bob's heart was as expansive as his family, which includes his brother Richard and his wife Barbara Bouchard, and his numerous grandchildren: Josh Bouchard, Chrys Bouchard, Haley and her wife Sarah Bouchard, Curtis Bouchard, Gage Bouchard, Michael Trumble, Amelia Trumble, Bradley Dumont, Brandon Mason, Breanna Stevens, Keeleigh Capps, Chandler Capps, Emily Paul, Taylor Carson, Alexis Carson, and Aurora Carson. He was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. Known for his big heart and playful sense of humor, Bob was a man who never met a stranger. His ability to share a joke and his genuine warmth left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He was a beloved figure in his community, and his passing leaves a void that will be felt by all who knew him. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Concord Hospital and the Hospice House for the compassionate care they provided to Bob in his final days. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on June 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Bear Brook State Park, located at 157 Deerfield Rd, Concord, NH 03275. All who knew Bob are welcome to attend and share in the memories of a life filled with love and laughter. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Bob's memory by sharing a joke, watching a NASCAR race, or building something beautiful. For these were the things that brought him joy and best reflect the spirit of a man who was truly one-of-a-kind.
