It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Robert "Rob" Hamilton, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Rob departed this world on February 14, 2026, at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. Born on April 7, 1958, in Munich, Germany, Rob was the beloved son of Donald and Elinor Hamilton. His early years were shaped by the rich tapestry of his birthplace, and he carried these experiences with him throughout his life. Rob was predeceased by his father, Donald, and his brother, Chuck. His memory is lovingly cherished by his devoted wife, Sherry, his daughter, Cheyenne, and his stepson, Joshua, along with Joshua's wife, Tracy, and their children, Madison and Zachary. Rob also leaves behind his brother, Mark, and his wife, Rebecca, along with their children Christopher, Andrew, Steven, Reece, Jacob, and a grandson, Jackson. Rob and Sherry's love story began with seven years of companionship that blossomed into marriage on September 28, 2019. In their 13 years together, they crafted a life rich with mutual respect and joy, celebrating a later-life blended family that brought them immense happiness and gratitude. Their union was a testament to love's power to unite and strengthen, a beacon of hope for all who knew them. Rob's professional journey was marked by 32 years of dedicated service as a lineman, culminating in his retirement as a respected line foreman in 2021. His colleagues knew him as a man of strong moral character, a tireless worker, and a mentor who generously shared his wealth of knowledge and experience. An esteemed member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Rob's impact on his profession and peers was profound and lasting. Beyond his career, Rob found joy in the great outdoors, a passion that led him to the quiet solace of hunting and the gentle rhythm of fishing. Whether entertaining friends and neighbors with his legendary barbeques or engaging in spirited conversations, Rob's unfiltered honesty, boldness, and gift of gab made him a magnetic presence. He never met a stranger he couldn't turn into a friend, forging connections that stood the test of time and distance.
