Robert passed peacefully in the loving embrace of his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Born in Munich, Germany, on April 7, 1958, Robert was the beloved son of Elinor Hamilton and the late Donald Hamilton. He grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of his family, alongside his brothers Chuck, who predeceased him, Mark, and Donald. The Hamilton home was filled with warmth and the sounds of brotherly adventures that would shape the compassionate and vibrant man Robert became.
Robert's journey through life was marked by the love he shared with his cherished wife, Sherry. Their love story began on a beautiful Saturday, September 14, 2013, and blossomed into a lifelong partnership when they were joyously married on September 28, 2019. Together, they built a home that was a sanctuary of love and laughter, nurturing a blended family with a son, Joshua, and stepson, Jo.
Robert was a devoted father to his daughter Cheyenne, who inherited his passion for life and his unwavering integrity. His role as a father was one he cherished deeply, and his love for Cheyenne was a guiding light in her life. Robert embraced his role as a stepfather to Jo with the same warmth and dedication, creating lasting bonds that transcended the traditional definitions of family.
His professional life was a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Though his career path was diverse, his commitment to excellence was a constant. Robert's colleagues remember him as a man of integrity, always ready with a kind word or helpful hand, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Family was the cornerstone of Robert’s life. His surviving family includes his loving mother, Elinor; brother Mark and his wife, Rebecca, along with their children Aaron, Christopher, Andrew, Stephen, Reese, Jacob, and grandchildren including Jackson; brother Donald and his wife, Rhonda; cousin Diane and her husband, Lew; and cousin Chip and his wife. Robert cherished each family gathering, each shared meal, and each memory created together, knowing that these moments were the true treasures of life.
Robert was a man of many passions, from his love of the great outdoors to his talent for storytelling. He had a natural ability to make everyone around him feel special and valued. His laughter was infectious, his wisdom profound, and his kindness boundless.
Robert Hamilton’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and the enduring power of family. Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find comfort in the memories we hold dear and the impact he had on each of us. His spirit will forever live on in the stories we share, the lessons we pass down, and the love we continue to spread in his honor.
A celebration of Robert’s life will take place in the coming weeks, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and support one another. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity close to Robert’s heart, reflecting his lifelong commitment to giving back and helping others.
Robert Hamilton will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever guide those who had the privilege to know and love him. Rest in peace, dear Robert. Your journey continues in the hearts of those you touched.
