September 23, 1968 — March 24, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Gogolack, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on March 24, 2026, at his home in Lockport, NY, after a courageous struggle with ALS. Robert was 57 years old.
Born on September 23, 1968, in Lockport, NY, Robert was the cherished son of the late Linda and Everett Gogolack Sr. He grew up surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, values that he carried forward into his adult life. A dedicated husband to Melissa for 21 beautiful years, Robert found his soulmate in her, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They wed on July 24, 2004, in Middleport, NY, a day that marked the beginning of a journey enriched by mutual respect and unwavering support.
Robert was the proud father of two remarkable daughters, Madeline "Grayson" and Lily, who were the light of his life. He found immense joy in guiding them, sharing his passions, and watching them grow into the incredible young women they are today. His legacy lives on through them, in their kindness and strength.
A hardworking man, Robert dedicated over 25 years of his life working as a car hauler, and later, he contributed to the OATKA community for three years. His work ethic was admired by all who knew him, and he approached each day with a smile and a willingness to help those around him.
Robert was a man of faith and an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Batavia, NY, where he found solace and community. His commitment to service extended beyond his church; he was a former leader in the Niagara County 4-H, inspiring many young minds with his enthusiasm and knowledge.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Robert found peace and fulfillment in nature. He was happiest when riding his motorcycle with the wind in his hair, exploring the open road, and soaking in the simple pleasures of life. His adventurous spirit was matched only by his kindheartedness and infectious happiness, traits that endeared him to everyone he met.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa; his beloved daughters, Madeline "Grayson" and Lily; two sisters and a brother-in-law, who stood by him through life's challenges and celebrations. Though predeceased by his parents, Robert's memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Robert's life will be held on March 31, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Batavia, NY, where friends and family will gather to remember a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Robert's memory to the Gateway House in Attica, NY, an organization that provided support and comfort during his final days.
Robert's departure leaves a void that will never be filled, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all.
