Robert Gene Pool, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, due to complications from pneumonia. Born on August 10, 1950, in Tulsa, Robert lived a life marked by passion, resilience, and a profound love for music.
Robert was the cherished son of Bobbie and Carolyn Pool, both of whom predeceased him. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Marianne Robinson Pool. Despite these profound losses, Robert's spirit remained unbroken and his heart open to those around him. He is survived by his devoted sisters, Deborah and Nancy, and his treasured nieces, Ashley and Bailey, who brought immense joy to his life.
A man of great character and presence, Robert possessed a willful personality that made him seem larger than life. He had an uncanny ability to bring warmth and vibrancy to any room he entered, and his laughter was a melody that echoed in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
From an early age, Robert found solace and expression in music. A lifetime aspiring guitarist, he dedicated countless hours to perfecting his craft, ever in pursuit of the perfect chord or melody. Music was his sanctuary, a reflection of his soul, and a gift he shared generously with others. Friends and family recall the many evenings spent in the gentle glow of his strumming, lost in the rhythm of his passion.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 PM at Stanley’s Funeral Home, located at 3959 E 31st St., Tulsa, OK. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember the beautiful life he lived, sharing stories and memories that highlight his legacy of love and laughter.
