Robert Gene Pool

August 10, 1950 — July 3, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Gene Pool, a cherished brother, uncle, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on July 3, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 10, 1950, Robert lived a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him, especially to those who called him Bobby. Robert was the beloved son of Bobbie and Catheryne Pool, who preceded him in death, along with his cherished wife, Marianne Robinson Pool. His sisters, Deborah and Nancy, mourn his loss along with Robert's nieces, Ashley and Bailey. His stepchildren, Aardron, Avery, and Havala, remember him fondly as a source of wisdom and support for over 50 years. He was known as grandpa by Conor, Grace, and Auron, and though the next generation, Rosemary and Violet, may not have had the chance to enjoy time with him as their great-grandfather, his spirit and legacy will undoubtedly be a part of their lives. Robert dedicated over four decades to Thermal Industries, where he led numerous special projects with innovation and foresight—projects that not only advanced the company but also made a lasting impact on the industry. His contributions ranged from the inception of the company's intranet to the meticulous planning of their current building, showcasing his exceptional skill and foresight. Music was a constant in Robert's life; he was a lifelong aspiring guitarist whose love for melodies and rhythms was as vibrant as his personality. In addition to his musical pursuits, Robert had an unending curiosity for computer technology and the latest software, along with a penchant for electronic gadgets. He was known for his readiness to assist friends and family with his extensive knowledge and toolset, often setting aside his own projects to lend a helping hand. Robert's presence was both commanding and comforting, marked by a willful personality and a warmth that made him seem larger than life. His ability to connect with people and his unwavering support for those he loved will be profoundly missed. As we gather to celebrate Robert's life, let us remember him for the joy he brought to our lives, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind. May his memory be a comfort and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
