With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Fryer on May 22, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on October 21, 1938, in Dothan, Alabama, Robert lived a life full of love, dedication, and vibrant spirit. He passed away due to natural causes, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever. Robert was the beloved son of Ida Mae and was predeceased by his dear family members, Bert, Carrie, and John. He is survived by his devoted wife, Genara, who stood by his side since they exchanged vows on July 19, 1959. Their enduring marriage was a testament to their unwavering love and commitment. A proud graduate of Rams, Robert carried his academic prowess into his service with the United States Navy, where he served his country with honor and distinction. Following his military service, Robert dedicated his professional life to his work as a painter, where his skill and creativity left an indelible mark on each project he undertook. Robert was a man of many passions, and his interests extended beyond his career. He was an avid horse racing enthusiast and loved nothing more than the camaraderie of playing cards with friends. He was also an active member of the Sophisticated 10, a group that brought together individuals who shared his zest for life. Family was at the heart of everything Robert did. He was a devoted father and a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He found immense joy in participating in their activities and cherished every moment he spent with them. His warmth, humor, and kindness made him a cherished figure not only among his family but also within his community. As we remember Robert, we celebrate a life lived with integrity, passion, and love. He was a remarkable man whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him. Though he has left this world, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. A service to honor and celebrate Robert's life will be held on May 29, 2026, at 2:10 PM at CP Bannon, located at 123. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support and love during this difficult time.
